Maximo Park, or Maximo Park if we're being posh, began life in Newcastle in April, 2003. Consisting of Paul 'Scooby' Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), Archis Tiku (bass guitar), Tom English (drums), and Lukas Wooller (keyboards), Maximo Park took 2005 by storm, with their debut album, 'A Certain Trigger', being nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, and their being included on the War Child benefit album, 'Help'. Maximo Park have an interesting sound; lively, but slightly gothic, and they have, in a very short time, become one of the leading lights of British rock music.
