Alexander
(356-323 BC) was the greatest conqueror of the ancient
world. Son of an acclaimed great king in his own right,
Philip, Alexander was educated by Aristotle, and became
King of Macedonia in 336 BC. He went on to conquer Persia
and Egypt, reached India, and founded Alexandria - all at
a remarkably young age. Alexander did have a gentler
side, and was devoted to his legendary horse Bucephalus.
