Scottish author Muriel Spark, who died on April 13th, aged 88, was best known for her famous novel, 'The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie' - which was adapted for both film and TV.

Muriel Spark also wrote critical studies on famous women authors Emily Bronte and Mary Shelley. Ms. Spark lived in New York City, before moving to Tuscany, Italy, where she spent the last years of her life.
