ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS 'Absolutely Fabulous' has become one of the all-time favourite British sitcoms. Written by Jennifer Saunders, 'Absolutely Fabulous' revolves around two hideous, but hilarious, mutton dressed as lamb middle-aged women - Patsy (Joanna Lumley) and Eddy (Ms. Saunders). 'Absolutely Fabulous' came out of a sketch from the popular BBC sketch show, 'French & Saunders', which co-starred Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French. This sketch originated from the 'The Comic Strip Presents...' TV play, 'Eddie Monsoon: A Life?' Often called simply 'Ab Fab', the show would never appeal to really conservative audiences, with its covering drugs, sex, and drunkenness in a quite explicit way.
