| 'Friends' had a reputation for being
popular with twentysomethings and thirtysomethings, but
its appeal spanned all ages. Covering the lives of six
young and insecure people (Joey apart!), 'Friends' was
popular because its characters were vulnerable, likeable,
and were inclined to act in a childlike way if things
didn't go their way! This American sitcom, set in New York, ran for 10 seasons in America, from September 22nd, 1994 to May 6th, 2004.
