GAVIN & STACEY

Written by Ruth Jones and James Corden (who also star in the series), 'Gavin & Stacey' is an endearing BBC sitcom, first screened on BBC3. The third and final series of 'Gavin & Stacey' was shown on BBC1, with the final episode broadcast on January 1st, 2010.

Though Gavin (Mathew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page) are a likeable young couple, the stronger characters are the voluptuous and permanently horny Nessa (Ruth Jones), Gavin's mum, the wacky Pam (Alison Steadman - and think of a 21st Century version of her 'Abigail's Party' character), the slightly strange Bryn (Rob Brydon), and Gavin's best mate, the hyper Smithy (James Corden). Larry Lamb plays Gavin's dad Mick, in a role a polar opposite of the dark Archie character he played in 'EastEnders'.

'Gavin & Stacey' is confusing and unique, as it's set in Billericay, Essex, and in Barry, Wales!
