PETER KAY Peter Kay was born in Bolton, Lancashire, on July 2nd, 1973, and is widely acclaimed as one of the outstanding comic talents of his generation. Kay is a writer, producer, director, actor, and comic. He is best known for his stage shows and TV series on Channel 4, 'That Peter Kay Thing (2000)', 'Phoenix Nights (2001-2002)', and 'Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere (2004)'. 'Phoenix Nights' remains Kay's best known work. Set in a Northern club, Kay plays hapless characters Brian Potter and Max the bouncer as things continue to go from bad to worse! Peter Kay has also appeared in 'Coronation Street', and as The Abzorbaloff - a weird villain who absorbed people - in 'Doctor Who'. |
