One of the biggest names in the history of movies, Charlton Heston, passed away on April 5th, 2008. Known for starring in epics and playing giants of history and religion, in 'Ben-Hur', 'The Ten Commandments', 'El Cid', and 'The Agony And The Ecstasy', Heston also appeared in important environmental pictures such as 'The Omega Man' and 'Soylent Green'. The classic sci-fi movie 'Planet Of The Apes', with Heston as Taylor, remains an important social commentary on 1960s America. Read the review here.
