JOHN HEATH-STUBBS, who died Dec 26 '06, aged 88, and a holder of the Queen's Medal for Poetry, is genre-relevant for his 101pp verse epic, 'Artorius' (Enitharmon P'73, repr his '88 Carcanet P collected), 12 books on Zodiac cycle pattern, a Romamised Arthur encountering figures of this world and other around the traditional story, incl Anubis (tho a pedant might say a soldier involved in mystery religion wd be likelier a Mithraist?), Muses, etc etc, in a variety of poetic styles/forms, incl dark humour.
