Brad Pitt's acting career is often overlooked by the media, as they prefer to focus on him being one half of Hollywood's golden couple, with Angelina Jolie.

Born on December 18th, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Brad Pitt is a gifted enough actor to have been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1996 for his role as Jeffrey Goines in 'Twelve Monkeys (1995)'. Pitt has also appeared in a trilogy of 'Oceans' films - alongside one of his rivals for the crown of Hollywood's Biggest Heart-Throb, George Clooney. Brad Pitt's other major films include 'Se7en (1995)', 'Fight Club (1999)', and 'Troy (2004)' - where he was happy to show, at 40, that he was still in good shape, in a charismatic performance as Achilles. The Brad and Angelina show also came to the 2005 action comedy 'Mr. And Mrs. Smith'. In recent years, Brad Pitt has become prolific as a producer.

Though, predictably, they have their critics, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do deserve a pat on the back for their charity work.
