Omar Sharif (1932-2015)
Defying his wealthy Egyptian family, Alexandria born Omar Sharif set his sights on an acting career, and had rapid success.

Initially starring in Egyptian films, Sharif became internationally famous in 'Lawrence Of Arabia (1962)', then 'Doctor Zhivago (1965)' and 'Funny Girl (1968)'

Sharif has played a lot of big roles such as Genghis Khan and Che Guevara, but now spends much of his energy perfecting his acclaimed abilities at bridge.
