Roy Scheider (1932-2008)
Born in Orange, New Jersey, and beginning his acting career playing classic roles on stage, Roy Scheider appeared in a host of acclaimed films, including 'Klute (1971)', 'The French Connection (1971)', 'Jaws (1975)', 'Marathon Man (1976)', and 'All That Jazz (1979)'. Scheider also starred in the 1990s American science fiction series 'seaQuest DSV'.
