Another Gerry Anderson masterpiece. The villainous Captain Black is as evil as Davros; the Mysterons are as scary as the Daleks; the indestructible Captain Scarlet is as heroic as Superman; the Angels - Rhapsody, Harmony, Melody, Symphony, and Destiny - are hotter than Charlie's Angels!
Captain Scarlet was another Gerry Anderson hit show, and was more sophisticated than the ground-breaking 'Thunderbirds', though without so many fancy rockets! As an eight-year-old child Scarlet's foes the Mysterons were as scary, to me, as the Daleks. Captain Black was like a good-looking Davros - but just as evil! As with all of Gerry Anderson shows, there were good looking female dolls (!) in the shape of the heroic, dynamic Angels. Captain Scarlet himself, of course, is indestructible, but sometimes you think he's just not going to make it!
