Famous to children as the man behind Lenny the Lion, ventriloquist Terry Hall died after a long illness on April 4th, aged 80.
Terry Hall was from Earlsdon, Coventry, and was a popular TV entertainer for two decades. He first appeared on TV with Lenny in 1956, on the BBC, and had his own show a year later. Terry and Lenny appeared on the 'Ed Sullivan Show' in the US, and The Beatles sang 'Please Please Me' on Terry's show, 'Pops And Lenny', in 1963.
