Angola's chances of progressing in these World Cup finals were finally ended, by an Iranian side which certainly deserved at least a draw from this game.

Good work by Jose Ze Kalanga on the right, ended with an inviting cross for Amado Flavio to head Angola in front on the hour. Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh's good header from a Mehdi Mahdavikia corner levelled things, after Iran had wasted earlier good chances, and saw a Vahid Hashemian header cleared off the Angolan goal line by Antonio Mendonca.
