RANDALL AND HOPKIRK DECEASED (Original Series)

'Randall And Hopkirk Deceased' was originally shown on ITV in 1969 and 1970, with Kenneth Cope playing the white-suited ghost Marty Hopkirk, Mike Pratt as his friend Jeff Randall, and Annette Andre as Marty's widow Jeannie.

Marty and Jeff were private detectives, and Marty was murdered while on duty. When Marty comes back as a ghost to help solve crimes with his former partner Jeff, it's poignant that Jeff can see and hear Marty, but Jeannie can't.

The original 'Randall And Hopkirk Deceased' ran for one series, and was produced by ITC. A remake of the series, featuring comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, was aired on BBC1 in 2000 and 2001.
