Budgie

'Budgie' was a superb ITV series, which ran for 26 hour long episodes from 1970 to 1972. Written by Keith Waterhouse it had Adam Faith in the lead role as the chirpy Cockney petty criminal Ronald 'Budgie' Bird. The interaction between Budgie and the sinister Charlie Endell Esquire (Iain Cuthbertson) was often hilarious and distressing at the same time.
