Kt Tunstall is one of the most talented British singer/songwriters of recent years. Born in Edinburgh, on June 23rd, 1975, Kt honed her songwriting in indie bands, and even wrote music for children's shows. Though Kt is coy as to which ones.

Appearing on 'Later... With Jools Holland' really brought Ms. Tunstall to the public's attention, with her acclaimed performance of 'Black Horse & The Cherry Tree', which went on to become her first UK top 30 single early in 2005 (and won Best Track at the 2005 Q Music Awards), and was followed up by top 40 hits, 'Other Side Of The World', 'Suddenly I See', and 'Under The Weather'. Kt's debut album, the million seller, 'Eye To The Telescope', was nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize, and reached number three in the UK charts. The 2006 Brits saw Kt win Best British Female Solo Artist, and 'Suddenly I See' won her an Ivor Novello award, for 'Best Song Musically & Lyrically', also in 2006.

As well as being a year of commercial success, 2005 has also seen Kt play the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival, sing at Glastonbury, and appearing again on 'Later... With Jools Holland', and on a BBC4 Bob Dylan tribute concert.

Kt Tunstall has released three other studio albums so far in her career: 'KT Tunstall's Acoustic Extravaganza', 'Drastic Fantastic' and 'Tiger Suit'.

Personable, pretty, talented, and eminently likeable, Kt Tunstall, with her plaintive singing and seductive acoustic guitar playing, has the music world at her feet.
