Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1939, actress Annette Andre made her name playing pretty secretary Jeannie Hopkirk, when starring in the hit 1960s British TV series, 'Randall And Hopkirk Deceased'. Annette also appeared in top '60s British series 'The Avengers', 'The Prisoner', 'The Saint', and 'The Troubleshooters', and in the 1970s she appeared in 'The Persuaders!', 'The New Avengers', and 'Return Of The Saint'.

In 1989, Annette married Arthur Weingarten, an American producer, and she now lives in New York State. The couple are passionate about animal welfare issues, and Annette works as a volunteer for British actress Virginia McKenna's Born Free Foundation (which Virginia co-founded with late husband Bill Travers).

Annette is now retired from acting, and her last screen appeareances included roles, in the 1980s, in long running British TV soap 'Crossroads', and in the gritty Australian prison drama TV series, 'Prisoner: Cell Block H'.
