Richard Burton (1925-1984)
Welsh-born Richard Burton was one of the greatest of all actors - both on stage and screen. Sadly, his career seemed overshadowed by his turbulent relationship with Elizabeth Taylor. From his charismatic performance as Alexander the Great early in his career, to his portrayal of the evil 1984 character, O'Brien, in his final film, Burton's genius was apparent - if underused.
