Mental Town

Probably the most innovative release by Color. Side 2 is superb... "Our country Is Not in Trouble" - distorted vocals and narrative, amidst steady beat; "To the Fallow Ground", weirdly haunting instrumental and the computer-age effects of "Word Perfect" are three of the pearlers on that side.

Lots of LSD

Lots of weirdness too from the boldest band in terms of experimentation intermixing with commerciality that I know. Lots of power and crazy titles, a la "Gerry Anderson's Life of Christ". A mixed view on this tape, as some of the stuff is really innovative and interesting, but some tracks overdo it.

Side 1 is not as riveting, but possibly it's harsh to compare that side with the high-class of side 2.
