THE WHO at LIVE 8

http://www.live8live.com/

Two long and very appropriate numbers for any world leaders who may have been watching, namely 'Who Are You?' and 'Won't Get Fooled Again'.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey came on stage, without any fuss, sporting fetching glasses. Pete in groovy black shades, and Roger in blue tinted specs.

Townshend was in particularly blinding form, with the odd arm twirl, and Roger was on rhythm guitar for the first song, as he punched out the lyrics of 'Who Are You?', with the G8 leaders on a big screen behind them.

'Won't Get Fooled Again' had Rog throwing his mike quite a way in the air and catching it one-handed. Pete's bluesey guitar solo was stunning, and he deserved the drink he took as the keyboard solo swirled on.

Joss Stone said she didn't know who Roger Daltrey was before this event. I guess she'll know who he is now.
