The Face of Boe

Martha gets kidnapped in New New York in this rather hit and miss third episode.

Striking special effects, with ravenous monsters looking for prey among the airborne traffic, and the Doctor gets to meet some old friends, including one of the Cat People from the second series, as well as a moving encounter with the ailing the Face of Boe. Ardal O'Hanlon also stars as the Doctor's feline driver.

The ending is emotional, with the Doctor talking about his being the last of the Time Lords, amidst the strains of 'Abide With Me'.
