ALMOST SPRING

Begins March,
The last of Winter's chill.

Come lift your heads
Sweet Blooms,
Smile fondly on the World.

PITTER-PATTER...

You set me all a'quiver
Your touch it lights a fire
My blood flows like a river
And pulse beats as a choir

Your face is tattooed on my heart
Your voice is ever with me
When Cupid tossed his little dart
I wish he'd blooming missed me!

EARLY DEMISE
By GWYNN WATT

Alone
On a bough, lazily sleeping,
Petals prone,
Soon the chill of Autumn frosts
Will attack
Turning golden head into black.

Secateurs close,
Surprise
My pretty golden-headed rose,
Early demise.

GWYNN says: "I get several poems published each year in magazines such as FIRST TIME, MATES (a local publication in aid of Macmillan Nurses), and others. Most of my writing is autobiographical, and relates to people and incidents that do, or have, existed. Straight from the heart in fact!"
